NEW DESIGNS

I have some great news. In the next few days, we will be uploading our newest and best designs so far. They feature a variety of artists from all around...LA, Toronto, Vancouver. We are excited about the value these new designs bring to our brand. Also, we have more designs from the same designers already featured on the site. Look for more of Lisa Rotenberg's wicked drawings, with a new food chain bunny and skunk coming out. She has also spiced up Grafitti in Sherwood Forest, and we will be posting the new version shortly. Kathy Braceland's mother and child horsey drawing will be sure to grab your attention. You must also check out the illustrative work of Shen Plum, an OCAD graduate. Todd Julie and his magnificent six-pack (beers, abs, crew), have some wicked cool images that are coming up as well. But seriously, they're all great...when I say Todd and his crew, I am referring to Lee Stringle, Ilya Schwarz, Jesse Ewles, Cam Tomsett, and Masako Shimizu. I have attached Todd Julie's tiger for your entertainment. It is available for purchase on t-shirts, although it seems to be showing up kinda blue-ish while it is meant to be orange. Don't worry, it will look just right on the shirt.

Oh and how can I forget about Sean Lewis. He has a great Jesus drawing for you to check out. Also, his wolf is fantastic. Jared Nickerson has agreed to allow us to print one of his famous shirts called Lost in Translation, which was a recent bestseller.

We will also have a new che guevara from Adrian Hayles upcoming.

Jake Rosenberg has just returned from his Pacific Crest Trail hike, and has given us permission to put some of his panoramic pictures on t-shirts. Check them out below.

Also, Nick Kabitsis's illustrated pink skyline should be up soon as well.

Introducing: The Second Collection

Heellllloooooo!

Our second run of production is complete and we have an array of new t-shirts to add to our collection. The previous run, which was mostly women's t-shirts, made by artists Lisa Rotenberg, Adrian Hayles, Canne and Kathy Braceland has been very successful.

Now, our new run includes t-shirts from Cam Tomsett, Jesse Ewles, Kathy Braceland and Todd Julie. This run is more men's shirts, however, we have a wonderful addition to the women's collection from Kathy Braceland known as "Mother and Child" (can be seen below).

Mother and Child is a fantastic design that has a horse and its child galloping across the side of the t-shirt. The design was placed under the arm and around the ribs to give it an original placement.

Abe is a t-shirt designed by Todd Julie who is a very talented Toronto artist. This design is an authentic look at a brilliant man. My personal favourite from the new shirts.

The Alley, designed by Cam Tomsett, is a very unique design as well. On the white shirt, The Alley is comprised of a group of gangsters getting booked by a police officer. On the contrasted black shirt, The Alley is the mobsters ganging up on the officer.

An old symbol newly designed with a twist...literally! lol. Personally, I think The Spade (designed by Lisa Rotenberg) is a fantastic t-shirt that looks cool from a distance. This shirt is great for partying or goin' on dates!

Inner Fear, a neat shirt by Kathy Braceland, is the first "skeleton" shirt that we have introduced to our collection. At IWANNAT, we think skeletons are cool so expect to see more skeleton shirts in the future and prepare to collect them all!

This is (an incomplete) picture of our full collection. Because I don't have panoramic on my camera, I was forced to take 2 pictures. I consider that a good thing, it means we have enough designs to fill an entire couch!

Some other interesting stuff coming down the IWANNAT.com pipes include two special contests, which I will talk about in further details on my next post; I Wanna Blank T, which will allow you to purchase blank American Apparel tees (with tags removed and our special, tagless, labels inserted); and, we will begin offering a variety of slogan t-shirts at very affordable prices ($14.99 each).

Other new t-shirts, promotions and interesting activities will be happening very frequently throughout the final weeks of the summer so be prepared!

Until then,

Enjoy the new tees!

Changing Site

For those of you have been keeping up to date with Iwannat's recent developments, the face of our site has changed. It is more user friendly and has allowed for greater customization. We want to put what you want on shirts, and there is now a spot for submissions and uploads.

In addition to this, we offer customizable slogan tees as well as completely blank shirts, boasting the Iwannat brand as a tagless label. Our site will detail this label, but this allows you to obtain plain, top-quality garments. But they aren't truly plain, they have that special watermark in the inside of the shirt.

We also want to develop an artist page where people could rank the work we are selling. How does this idea sound?

First Big Step?

It's time for the leap from a low-key, building-foundation company to an open-to-the-public, ready-to-sell business (Not like we are going to be hopping over and chasms any time soon)...

As our first collection of tees is being collected, viewed and photographed, it seems we're off to a bright start. The quality of the garments is superb and most of the prints look spectacular. I say most because there is small room for error and if any mistakes are made the shirt gets scrapped. For obvious reasons, we scrapped a couple tees. All for the better. This is why we take extra time and care and make the best possible looking shirt, for every shirt.

I'll take you through the ones I'm posting up here, there's a bunch in this collection, probably for the best. We wanna let the customer have choice and that’s why so many designs are available.

The first design I've included is Sleepy Puppy by Kathy Braceland and Wise Man by Canne featuring My Shorts in the bottom right hand corner (those aren't for sale).

The second design is Corn Dog by Lisa Rotenberg...for some reason this makes me crack up every time I see it...he's just leaping so high and looks so happy lol.

Anyways, the third picture is of me wearing Graffiti in Sherwood Forest by Lisa Rotenberg. A great shirt for camping or being in the woods.

The last picture is what I like to call a "IWANNAT Bed Collage" featuring all of the t-shirts from the collection on my bed.

If you are interested in any of this stuff just go to our site (www.IWANNAT.com) and buy ‘em...most are there! Don't worry we are working on getting better product pics up so bare (or bear?) with me and they will be up in the next few days.

Anyways I'll make another post tomorrow updating the blog world of the pictures situation.

Oh! Also, before I leave/forget to say, We now offer SLOGAN tees (anything written on a pimp looking white AAA platinum tee) for $14.99 any size, any font...Crazy deal tell you friends/buy one...ITS ON THE WEBSITE UNDER SLOGANS.

Ok I gotta crash its to late for eyes......

The Beginning (AKA We're Rolling)

A famous Gladiator (Russell Crowe aka Marcus Aurelius) once said, “it is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.”

Well the fear of IWANNAT.com never beginning to live is now past! We our officially selling t-shirts and rolling! Waaahewwww! IWANNAT offers people interesting designs and concepts never before thought of on shirts. This art includes everything from trippy chicks to caricatures of emotion to realistic portraits. This line has been created for anybody interested in cool tees and we're just in time for the start of the Summer! OK, we may be 5 days late, but we are still coming with energy to take the summer by surprise with our exciting new line of artistic t-shirts. I hope you enjoy everything you see here, on our site, and with IWANNAT written on it. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, rants, links, business ideas, knowledge of any hidden treasure please shoot me an e-mail! (andrew@iwannat.com)

Just a quick run down of what’s going on these days if you have read the previous blog… Pretty much, the company has gone through months of changes (last time I blogged was April 18th). Basically, the equipment and style of printing is still the same as before ( we use a heat press with transfers, plastisols and vinyl) and some screen printing as well. The main reason for the heat press is it allows us to use as much colour and detail to designs whereas screen printing limits the detail to images. Our website is based on the server HostPapa.ca which is a great Canadian web host company and I suggest you check ‘em out!

Our site uses a revised and edited version of Zen Cart with a few other features. Right now, our main payment gateway is Paypal. The reasoning behind this is simple: almost everyone has PayPal, its safe, secure, trust worthy and its kinda expensive to take credit cards like Visa and Mastercard directly on the site for now…but this could all change soon.

This is all I’m going to write for now, but I appreciate any support given and any purchases you may make on IWANNAT.com This is only possible because of the great support from our artists who have devoted time, effort and a lot of designs. This, however, is just the beginning. We have come together now we shall strive to build relationships and work together towards success.

Every great rant must come to an end, and with that, later dudes
